ribcraft 5 mtr

Its Finished!! well for the factory that is, it was almost ready to the minute!! turned up at 2 pm at it was just being pushed out from the cleaning dept!!

A big thanks to all the boys at Ribcraft(Mark, Dorian and Jace) for a f-----g superb job, attention to detail is superb and looks better than expected and bang on time too!!

I was looking at their new seat construction, they have now changed from the old wooden base to a purpose made plastic unit with a new foam insert,it never rots!! underneath the seat now has a heavy duty rubber seal that perfectly matches the seat base upon closure

Tomorrow i'm going to get my mates tig welder out as mine is knackered and have a go at the A frame,it cant be that difficult!!

Your new toy looks utterly cracking - I'm still living with the excitement of my first ever RIB - can't imagine what it must feel ike to actually see your own one built from scratch - fantastic

Looking forward to seeing the first "afloat" pictures

Simple and sensible, why aren't all manufacturers doing it?

Ribcraft Maiden Voyage

Its finished!!
Took it to Hythe and saturday was blowing a force 7 so was perfect to test out a new Rib,

Really Really pleased with the results, conditions were exceptionally lumpy and it loved it, headed out to Hurst castle and the Needles to find some really bad stuff,

with a 06 Yamaha 90 and a 13 x 19 pitch prop it gave me 41 knots, a 55 litre in built fuel tank which actually took 70 litres which was a nice suprise gave me 0.8 litres per N mile in rough conditions,
