Replacement rib tender - which brand

My present rib tender - a Flatacraft F3 - is a bit too long and heavy for my needs as tender. I would rather go for a used replacement than a new one but there are so many to choose from. I want length 2.6 to 2.7 with 2 seats, aluminium hull and probably hypalon tubes. - that excludes Ribeye but still leaves many brands. Are the rest all made in the same Chinese factory? Any recommendations?

I use 3d super light round but that’s not hypalon or Alu floored

They do have both those options elsewhere in the range

UK wholesaler / importer is Ocean First Marine based in Cornwall

Your probably going to struggle with finding a hypalon one nowadays especially second hand. We went through the same thing a few years back, I prefer hypalon too but settled for a 280 ribeye & its been a great tender, lighter faster & more rigid than our previous excell air floor tender. To get the lightest weight you have to get the one without the flat floor section where your stood on the actual hull as the extra flat floor adds a fair bit of weight to the boat. Ours is 10 years old ish now & still looks & performs fine. I'd not be put off by pvc

Older post... Curious what kind of sailboat? Is the tender stored up on the bow or stern davits?

Highfield's are well known aluminum tenders. https://highfieldnorthamerica.com/boats/ultralite/

AB boats are also well known. https://www.abinflatables.com/ribs-dinghies/lammina-ul/

There are other options too.

AB also used to do small ally tenders with Hypalon tubes.

We also have the 3D tender, well ours is "Aquafax" branded, but made in the same factory as the 3D tender & identical in every way. We went for the 2.7 metre air floor. Its unbelievably light at 14kgs and very compact when stowed in its bag. We use a high speed 12v inflator and its inflated in less than 2 minutes. We love it 👍
