Valiant 490

Hey,

What's the max HP behind Valiant 490 RIB? Anyone experience with this kind of model? Someone said me, that Valiant boats are made of hypalon, is this correct?
I've seen one from '96 with a Johnson 50 HP '92. What should be the max price for this?

I'm pretty certain that the Valiant 490 is the same as a Yam 490 we have one in our Yard I'll have a look at the plate tomorrow and tell you what the HP is.

Dan TD5 had one of these, twas a newish model and the tubes were PVC.


According to the website the current 490 can take upto 80hp

Valiant´s are available both with PVC and Akron (Hypalon) tubes, I doubt they make for Yam but nothing is for certain in this world any more.

Took recently Valiant DR490 (Akron tubes) out with Mercury 55 SEA PRO engine and with three on board we logged in 34,5 knoths
