Osprey Owners Association
Due to the ever increasing cult following of Osprey ribs, a couple of owners have expressed an interest in forming an association for the purpose of sharing their experiences of set ups and modifications etc.
A website is under construction detailing the history of Osprey and other useful info. Owners will be able to display pictures and specifications of their boats and add information that may be useful to other owners.
Membership is free and if you would like details/pics of your boat added to the website, send your details to the email address below.
Things like top speed, prop pitch, fuel useage etc. is especially useful.

Not so sure about foam in tubes! Surely it affects impact absorbancy?

I think he'd give up impact absorbancy for some nice solid tubes.
Okay second idea. Whats that stuff they STUFF in boobs. Might make the boat very expensive and heavy though. Probably wouldn't need a surgeon to fit it though. Probably even a Falkland Islander could do it even with his primitive and remote facilities. And if he had some left over he could keep the local Ladies happy

Silicone - so probably weighs as much as filling tubes with water!  not much of an idea, I can fill my tubes with water any time, just wait a day or two for the next hole to appear and voila! 
I did suggest fuzzy foam once before and somebody said NOOOO. I think the comment then was that once it got crushed it would not regain its shape - but I wonder about the prospects for using "springy" foam inside a hypalon collar - like a closed cell version of a seat cushion. Anyway getting a bit OT so I'll shut up....
Hopefully Osprey toobs are more waterproof than Humbug ones - and anyway I might end up with a plastic Mac yet, depends on whether the heart wins (Osprey) or the head (Mac) ... I know what I want (a Vipermax) but I'm not sure if I'm stupid enough to buy another inflatable boat after the "experience" with the one I have

The Osprey Owners' Association may also be useful for suppliers of bespoke items: 'A' frames, windscreens, upholstery, etc.
Hugh Jardon on this forum shared a lot of his experience of putting his Osprey Vipermax RIB together with forum members. Hopefully, a website dedicated to the brand will attract sufficient interest to enable buyers/users to get good deals while, in turn, promote the services provided by their suppliers.
