Who would like a Torqueshift at less than half price?

My boat finally left the premises on Saturday. Bought by divers. They chose my low pitch (backup) torqueshift. You should have seen their smiles on opening the throttle. 200 hp launching on an 11" pitch!

Now, I no longer have use for my main Torqushift. Launches from 13" pitch. Max pitch can be set up to 32". It's a rubber hub model, with absolutely no damage. A present it is set 13-23" using Z cams and medium springs.

It will fit V6's Merc, Mariner, Johnson, Evinrude, Yamaha, Suzuki and Mercruiser Alfa drives. Unfortunately, not the Merc XR models (different spline). It will also fit some V4's.

You'll never need to buy another prop. It's a wonderful thing.

£1000 new,......£475 to you.

Email or PM me if you are interested.

Cheers, JW.

JW - I know we have been here before on this subject but I have forgotten. I am right in saying that this will not work with a diesel, ay?

Brian Elliott has a Bravo 1 leg on his Yanmar 300 diesel. No use to him guess?

Nah, sorry Mike.

Not enough prop speed and too much load. It will not pitch up properly.

The blades travel outwards under certrifugal force. They rotate up it pitch against a cam. The centre of lift on the blade is behind the centre of pivot and this is the downward controlling force. It is the balancing of these forces which controls their shifting characteristic. Various cam profiles are available to suit all applications on outboards and also the lighter duty outdrives. There are even applications for the old Volvo drives. These were before my power boating times but I think they may be the Cobra drives.
