WANTED: 9.9 - 15hp outboard

Im looking for an outboard in the region of 9.9 - 15 hp or thereabouts. 2 or 4 stroke, must be reasonably new (max 10 years old, preferably newer.) Must be tiller steered with pull start, oh and short shaft! Cosmetic condition not a big issue, but must run well. Ideal engine Mariner 15 2-stroke or suzi 15 4 stroke, but budget is the main factor so anything considered!

Cash waiting for the right engine.

I would think you'd want a long shaft Andy. I bought a short shaft engine to go on the back of something as an aux and it didn't work.

Well could but its a black mercury outboard, why don't you pop round to have a look, no need to buy if you change you mind and prefer Dai's instead.

Andy its the one we lifted on to the Sealine. Your welcome to borrow it to try if you want first, that way you can be sure of getting the right length as a long shaft might drag in the water when lifted up. I have an outboard bracket to sweeten the deal too

Pete

Cheeky git!

Although last time I owned an evinrude the crankshaft split in two and stranded 2 off Bembridge

Lets see a photo Brad, is it a new or old one? As for the Short Shaft I'll let you know tomorrow as I'm borrowing Pete's one tonight to try.

Just pulling your leg Andy. I have got one, but I need to keep it for my 10' Avon.
