Literally risking their lives in pursuit of thrills, fame and glory, two surfers claim to have set a new record for the biggest waves ever surfed in UK and Irish waters this weekend as 14m swells smashed the coast of County Sligo near Mullaghmore harbour.
English professional surfer Gabriel Davies and his Irish tow-surfing partner from Bundoran, County Donegal, Richard Fitzgerald were joined by action photographer Mickey Smith.

Haven't you noticed how all the Lifeguard surfer dudes speak with a sort of Australian south african accent and it increases along with the jargon over the loudspaeker .
Best one are the pool atendants at the splash wavepool in Bude , they talk almost normal then as they turn on the wave machine it comes out full ozzy talk over the tannoy "and the next set of waves will be in 1 minut"
