Anyone know of a forum as good as this for hard-hulled boats?!

Help!

Went to the boatshow with Mrs. Lordy last week and now have a bit of a dilemma! (Thanks for your advice so far Cookee!)

I'm looking at used bowriders. Must admit, there seem to be some bargains out there - and they hold their price well - but I don’t know the first thing about these types of boats/engines, if I’m honest.

So, does anyone know of a forum for these boats that's even half as good as RIBNET?

And will John allow such a traitorous request on this forum??!!

Without being hung for treason, the Motor Boats Monthly magazine forum (www.ybw.com) is quite reasonable, but they do spend a fair amount of time just slagging off the WAFIs.

For issues pertaining to fiberglass, wood, and other topics that are common to both power and sailboats, sailboatowners.com is a great site. Try searching the archives for information on a particular subject.

Boatmad.com tends to be a bit more performance orientated if you're looking for forums, pontoontalk.co.uk is a bit Suffolk based, but more of the type of boat you're looking at. Proprider is another forum, but again rather more performance based than you are looking at!

boatshop24.co.uk and of course boats and outboards are both good places to find boats or just compare prices.

Actually a lot of the things discussed on RIBnet (engines, trailers, navigation, electronics, clothing as a few examples) are just as relevant to people driving boats without tubes and I think there could be a lot more crossover.
