Monty Hall

Lots of RIB action on this tonight. Can't quite work out the point of the series though lots of nice shots of a beautiful area and somewhere I hope to get the rib up to.

What was that rib? It looked like a baby Osprey, a Sparrowhawk or the 515 thing perhaps. The double cab Landy was Cornish, supplied by the main dealer that we do work for.

Had a quick look at http://www.applecross.uk.com/campsite/index.htm the camp huts look a better than ruffing it.

Would there be enogh interest to start a thread in the trips section do you think?

April

I am going to Inverie in April with some marquees for this music festival http://www.knoydart10.com/ and will be taking my RIB too , so I will try to get up there for a look . I can heartily endorse the Knoydart area as a great place to cruise to and from and accom is not a problem most of the time.Excellent pub too.
Anyone going to the festival keep in touch.

BWM Deep Sea 18

yes daniel this is your old boat - after i bought it from you - used it for 4 years - i sold it to the production company in april last year, first thing i did :took the 130hp yam off the back to save the ozone layer, and so that it would go for more than 10 minutes before needing re-fuelled again... and added the 2 jockey seats to it;

Put the 75 e tec on it, and it went great, was going to charter the boat to him, they ended up buying it - my 4 mins of fame is in the 1st episode.

cheers
Pete

Apparently all the local women were going gaga over him. Maybe that's why he scarpered after only 5mths. A limited gene pool perhaps.

hey Pete, great to hear from you.

I too have subscribed to the "sensiable" school of engines now i'm sorry to say!

I always wanted to add some more jockeys - looks good.

Did you retube the boat too?

Yes it was - they were ok, just film lot, so are quite hard work but all went well in the end, and they were happy as anything with the boat, they chose the best weather to goto sea tho but it looks good on the telly, and will be good for the area - more of you lot should shift it up here for a nosey....

Nice to hear from you - did not get it retubed, just a bit of double tubing i put on on its bum and top - was a bloody good boat that - i was using it on the west side of Uist with work, where all waves are big - beach launching it with a tractor - a good clean up and service before it was sold and it looked grand - i think it has just been sold again from a chap that bought it in Ullapool from the Monty lot --- wonder who has it now?

By complete fluke that 5.5 with the 75 etec was a good all round boat - BUT who else noticed that last night your man Monty pulled it out the water with the engine still down?? wonder how the Skeg is??

Did anyone see the last episode where he was pulling the RIB out of the water for the last time? Leg was down and you can hear a bang as it comes up the slip.

Edit: Sorry Pete, didn't see your post about it.
