As It say's this was started in April for this years season, but due to a Very Bad road accident in which I Suffered amongt other thing a Broken Shoulder the project went on hold!! Just a few recent Piccy's of the build.
More to follow over the next couple of months!!

Hi Jean thanks , its been since May !!!
But did manage a few days demo Driving @ SBS !!

No Teaching or Diving for me at all since May ...

Next year watch out !!!!!!!

I'm with Dirk - there seems to be a lot of redundant connectors there (what's the block in the middle for?) and the fuse block seems to be squashed up against the side? Also how do the green wires attach to whatever they are going to? Are there more connectors on the outside of the box?

Ok Guy's time to reveal

From the Fuse Block ( Left hand side) Cables go out to the switches (Carling) on the Console, the cable returns down the same conduit connects to the left hand side of the centre block. From the centre block cable then go out to the various items i.e Anchour light, Nav, Bilge e.t.c.
The green wires lead to LED's on for each fuse. the -ve return from the LED goes via a Push button to -ve. Therfore by pressing the button all LED's will light if the fuse is OK if blown no Light. Simples

Seat pods going in today

We have those seat pods (Outhill) on two of our RIBs. Both boats were new in 2008 and the seats are shagged. The uphostery is cracking and needs replacing, and quite a few of the hinges have come off. I suspect non marine ply has been used and started to soften where they are screwed in. Hope you have more luck....

Edit: looking more closely at the photos, the hinges on the drivers seat are in a different position to those on the rest of the seats. I'm assuming you have screwed that one in but not the others? I would be really tempted to screw them to the underside of the cushion, as opposed to onto the back or front; that's how ours are fixed and as I said they're coming off. I'm going to refix them all with the top bit of the hinge on the bottom of the cushion with the biggest screws I can get away with very shortly.

Tim, Sorry to hear of your problems, When I was at the factory last week I saw there processes and materials, the ply being used was indeed marine quality and good quality upholstory etc. Have you spoken with them about your experience?? as I find them very receptive. The seat bases came ready fitted we removed them for ease of access.

Have you whats your opinion on it?? have you just the hull or is it tubed? We are having this tubed by Paul Tilley (TIDEL) Just waiting for him to call it in.
The conduit runs Straight through the middle of the boat to within 1.5, of the bow. The best way to locate is to Drill a hole in the Bilge Sump at the stern centrel to the forward virtical and close to the top.

just the hull no tubes yet, they do look a very good quality moulding and are finished very well, thanks for the tip on the conduit, yours is looking really good by the way.
