Sika tubes going off?

Hi guys,
Once a tube of Sikaflex 291 has been opened and a little used, is there anything you can do to stop the whole tube going off, or is it a one shot deal?

The usual trying to seal the end may prolong the life of whats left, I usually put a screw in and then wrap the end with clingfilm.

If you can seal the end and stop any air getting in and keep it dark and cool it can last for months, I still usually end up digging out large chunks of solid Sika whatever I do however its normally only the bit in the nozel that gums up.

I tend to buy the smaller tubes as it is not great for staying liquid.

Dunno about sikka, but I used to freeze opened Aquaseal/sure for 12+ months. It warmed up and worked like it was a new tube. Residual life was a few weeks otherwise. Might be worth a try on a sample?

I tried keeping the tube airtight last time, but it still went off. Now I have a few more things to try.

Seal sika with itself. Squeeze a bit, and form a small ball on the tip. When u are reusing, pull out hardened sika. If it`s hardened on the inside, unscrew the plastic tip, throw it away, put a new one and go. This way I use sika for months.

Unscrew the nozzle and put some plastic on the end, then re-screw the nozzle.

The stuff in the nozzle will go off, but is easily pulled out and the stuff behind the plastic will be fine.

what about putting the tube of stuff in water,I think that would stop it,Just i ideal?
