Two stainless pole things

I'm clearing out my garage so will have some bits for sale. All bits need collecting from Portsmouth as I can't be faffed with wrapping stuff and taking it to the post office.

First lot! 2 stainless pole things. Havn't got a clue what they were designed for, but they are pretty heavy and good quality. About 3ft long. £10 each

Tim, on our coded boats we need secondary/emergency steering capability and we had similar stainless poles made up that attach to engine casing with the holes/bolts on front so if the cable or steering fails we attach similar and we have the ability to steer back using it as a tiller. Just thought they might be similar. Attached is image where we place our emergency unit on stainless pole at front of engine

On the smaller engine we have an almost identical tiller to your picture with holes to attach

Arhh that's interesting. In the past I have always got away with the option of using a paddle or boat hook lashed to the engine as a tiller. This would make perfect sense! I shall take one down to the boat later and see if they fit. Maybe not for sale after all!

No longer for sale! More junk I can't identify coming later in the week when I get round to some more clearing out.
