Surely the start of the Construction was the piece of paper when blank. If It is up to your usual standard then it will be rather good!

Cod have you fallen of the fence
Do you think he has made up the MDF plug for the hell of it?
Or are you just having a dig?
Nick

Do you have a name, or are you really a fish?

Codprawn,

Comments like that are hardly like to endear manufacturers to show how consoles and mouldings are built. Personally I was reading this thread with great interest to see how a console is made.

Leeway, please continue posting pictures as the console develops.

Jono I read it as the other way from someone just jumping on the band wagon from another post and who probably hasn't been to meet Lee.

I want to encourage manufacturers to post articles and pictures of how and why they have constructed in a particular fashion and the various steps. Cookee is another who regularly shares photos of his developements and long may it continue.

Perhaps one of the toobers could show how they make then glue 12m of hyperlon to a boat with evostick

Time for some education on Ribnet I think, we all seem to have been suffering from a shortage of sunshine since Xmas.

Now I need to build a inverted constant deep V shape for me garage roof so put yourself on standby for lots of questions about log tables and sine angles. Anyone under 40, you can view log tables in the British Museum if your not sure what they are

Pete, it's fair to say that Ol' Codders and I don't see eye-to-eye on a lot of things, but I still think it was humour... and to Codders.. a quote from one of my all time favourites... "you may enlighten me"...

Ooo..... controversial! Would you, as a manufacturer (of anything) want to give away any little tricks of the trade? It's hard enough in business as it is, without giving hard earned experience away...

Okay if it was humour then Codprawn, I apologise, I read it the wrong way.

Manufacturing secrets, absolutely, afterall the exemptions under the freedom of information act run to 3 lines reading the handy guide on me desk.

I don't think there are any secrets about making toobs, but the skill to do so without making a complete pigs ear of it, well thats a completley different kettle of fish. How many peeps would relish man handling 12m of floppy toobs into place on a rib hull, or gluing the 2 halves of a bow section together without getting a crease in the fabric when it costs £90 sq m so that I would like to see with a series of photos.
