For sale is my Tohatsu outboard that I have used infrequently on my tender. I bought the engine new from Bill Higham in 2007, it was used to get out to my mooring on Windermere. After 1 season wifey decided we were going into the marina and the engine has only had minimal use since. I would estimate it has run less than 20 hrs in total. I have only ever used it in fresh water.
Because of the rules on Windermere the engine is actually a 4hp but was uprated by the main dealer when I bought it (Original invoice stating this is available with the outboard).
As a small boat engine they really dont get any better than this, powerful and light (Just over 20kg) and really well suited to a small Rib or Sib. The engine is in excellent condition, it was one of the very last small 2 strokes sold in this country. The grapics and paintwork are in excellent condition with just a few chips on the leg and the paint rubbed off where the floor stand is.
I havent used the engine since August 2011, but it started 3rd pull today and ran beautifully, pumps loads of water and is quiet and smooth.
The engine is at my house in St Helens, WA10 4JS. I also travel to Sheffield and could arrange for it to be picked up there (or somewhere en route)
I have uploaded lots of photos and a couple of videos, the photos and stationary video were taken today and engine in use was August 2011.
