2008 evinrude e-tec 75hp

I've a evinrude etec 75 longshaft it's had a dunk so I'm thinking of breaking for spares or might get it fixed so just testing the water if there's any one looking for parts?

it depends how quickly it was got running after it was recovered assuming it had water inside
you only have a few hours to either get the engine running or totally strip it

once running it is best to give it a good thrashing for a few hours to get it hot & ensure there is no moisture left inside

a few mins run is not enough to ensure there is no moisture left to do damage while the engine is idle

if it stood for a few days before being run up there will be corrosion damage to the crank & bearings which might not show as a problem immediately but it will long term

if it was got running & treated properly it might never be a problem, if not it could be a nightmare
