316 Stainless Steel Offcuts Wanted

Hi, I'm looking for some stainless steel offcuts to practice welding, anything from tube to plate etc.

are you evr up in birmingham?
we use 18swg n 14swg sheet all day long should be some off cuts about nothing to big tho

try your local sheet metal /ducting fab shop or local stainless stock holders as most offer a cutting service .
most places will let u rummage in the scrap as long as u put a £5-10 in the coffee pot

304 ss will do to practice

what type of welding you doing mig/tig/arc ?

start with 3-4 mm plate the get thinner

Went to a couple of places today and got a few offcuts but no tube but got enough plate to have a go anyway. I'm hoping to learn tig welding from Nos if I can save enough money for a tig welder and the other tools
