Do you know if the transom has been cut?

Our first F4 was brand new, the transom wasn't cut down and had a Long(standard) shaft on it.

The second was used, and had the transom cut for a short shaft.

My preference would be for the Standard if possible as the cut transom made it flood easily and I filled the gap back in when I changed the engine for a standard shaft one.
