7.5hp-10hp Outboard
Adding a wanted ad in here to increase my chances of finding one.
2 stroke 7.5hp-10hp needed, it needs to be a short shaft.
I have a budget, which isn't massive, so i'm not expecting anything brand new!
It does need to be working though, ideally i need it before this weekend.
Get in touch, anything considered!
Thanks

I have a 6hp short shaft mariner. It can be up-rated by changing some seals to 9 or 10hp - I don't know the ins and outs but someone on here doubtless will, and I think it's a cheap job. Been in storage for a couple of years, low hours. Used as a fun toy on a tender SIB that has a 2hp everyday working engine. Not sure of exact age, but around 2000 - 2005. Let me know if you're interested. Ed.

Ed, potentially interested, is it running? What's your price?

Not sure they can be uprated that high. Think it's the same block as the 8hp but not 9.9/10

So you can uprate to an 8Hp but not above?
How do you do that anyway?

Honest answer is I don't think so but I'm not sure. Some of the 9.9hp can go to 15hp. Some 25hp to 30hp, some 2.5 to 3.3 so I'd guess if it can go up it would only be unto the next bracket on that model which would be the 8hp.
You'd have to check with an engineer to be sure!

Yeh got a blue band, think I got it for a bit of a steal considering some went on eBay a couple weeks back for around the 290 mark!
