Wanted: 9.8 Tohatsu or similar

Hi All, I’m on the hunt for a 2 stroke 9.8 Tohatsu or something similar. The lighter the better. Would also look at a light 15hp for my new project.

You do not want the 15 hp too heavy
I run a two stroke 9.8 on my 2.5mtr rib brilliant engine had from new better than mercs etc
Was the most powerful lightest to carry fit on to rib
The complaint i have is you cannot trim it half way up when in shallow water so drilled a hole put bolt in

The 9.8 has "shallow water drive" so it IS possible to trim up and run shallow. I used to do it every trip. I had to remove a spring affair that covered a gate on the rails.

Yes it has but it needs to go higher than that
i removed mine

Tohatsu are nissan commercail engines what jap fisherman use
