I'm not sure but I don't think so, to be honest whisper it is a bait casting reel and although it's fine for using on a boat it is too good a reel for just using for dropping over the side of a boat. This is the reason why I am selling it so I can buy a less complicated basic boat reel because that's all I do.

They used to do a left handed version of the 6500 c3. I have one but it took a while to find via e bay. Great reel

Can you recommend any others to use on the boat? I'm right handed but like to reel in with the left and it needs to reel in 30lb Rays

Don't forget that with a boat rod and multiplier reel the reel sits on top so the winder is on the right, with spinning reels they are underneath and you reel in with your left hand.

So if I buy a multiplier then it has to be left handed, but if I buy a spinning reel in should be right handed

So will a spinning reel work?
