Does anyone actually make them? All the ones I've seen that were described as aluminium turned out to be a numpty that didn't know what galvanising is.

All the Ali trailers I've seen have had an american size hitch and hydraulic brakes.

There is a Donzi sitting on one in a yard in Pompey. The main frame rails are massive.

I believe they are quite common in the states.

What you want one of them for??? I know they are light but I would imagine that the would be more inclined to "break" rather than bend.

A chain is only as good as its weakest link, you will find they probably use British Mild steel on the Bolts keeping it together.

They do exist

Hi Andre
I dropped my boat in at Henshaws last year for some minor tube work.
There were some very big ribs in there.
One was at least 9 metres with twin motors, but what caught my eye was the aluminium trailer.
The first thing I did was to go view the plate. sure it was 3500Kg gross and amasingly weighed only 670kg. Twin axle steel would be closer to 1000kg.
I may have a photo
If so will post.

good to meet up at Ribex.
Paul

These really are superb trailers, available in both ally or steel.
