Had an iPhone 3G followed by 3GS although both we're year old handed down. Both excellent but don't last more than two years from purchase date, and it is a little annoying that jailbreaking is required to make use of the phone properly (or was at the time, maybe less so now).

Moved to android in september and haven't looked back. My first ever new phone was an HTC Sensation and it is truly sensational. I have got to the point now where checking emails and being able to respond quickly is becoming very important and I send a good couple of thousand texts a month so a good keyboard is vital - trying to use an iPhone after using a full size Android and it just feels like a toy.

The other benefit of android is the vast breadth of the models available. A friend has a Wildfire S model and it does nearly everything mine does for (I imagine) a lower price although I did get a rather special deal!

Many people have Blackberries at school and all seem to swear by them. In my opinion though they are fairly useless, the screen is tiny and my thumbs never seem to fit the keyboard. BBM is an absolute gimmik, it doesn't actually offer anything over texting and if you're in the minority without unlimited texts then whatsapp is excellent and cross platform. Besides, I would be very surprised if RIM last much longer, Android's market share is soaring.

Bernard Manning was bloody brilliant, not p.c. but anyway a true comedian, I've went to his World Famous Embassy Club a few times and was never disappointed.

lost on him as much as a whole generation who don't realise that "everyone" means, well, everyone, rather than 'lots of people'. I suspect he's too young to know who Bernard Manning is - probably thinks he grows Turkeys in Norfolk!
