For Sale: Cheap garmin plotter

Garmin GPSMAP 230 7.5" chartplotter.

Somewhat outdated, but still in perfect working order.

£100 including GNE057SL chip (Dublin to Bantry B., Manchester to Scilly)

Note, this unit was flush mounted and I dont have the U bracket. They are available on ebay. Power lead and aeriel included.

These G-Charts are no longer available new (plenty on ebay) so check this suits you before you buy.

Will split £50 plotter / £50 chip.


This unit does have NMEA data output to connect to a DSC radio.

I guess it doesn't have an internal base map like the current garmins?
If it does I'll buy it if it is still for sale!

There is an internal base map in these older units, but its not good enough to navigate with. I think its only valid upto 50nm zoom or similar. If you dont live in ireland or wales or SW england, you will need to buy a chart chip on ebay for your area.

The external antenna is included. It does not have an internal one.

To clarify, everything you need is included so long as you have room in your console to flush mount (cut a hole to mount flush). If you need to mount ON TOP of the console you will need to U bracket which I dont have. You or I can buy on ebay, £15.
