Hello everyone, been reading forum for a while, find it entertaining and informative, thanks. Anyway saw these 'Royal Navy Survival Suits' on ebay what do you think? Worth a try?
They look to me more like a TPA (Thermal Protective Aid). I would not really like to have to wear in place of a dry suit or sailing waterproofs. Ideal though if you breakdown in bad weather or you have someone not well etc on board to keep them warm.
Used one of these to clean a fish pond out. Very thin material and should be considered disposable as they are a use once only item in the RN. David is right they would be good for survival but you will sweat your bits off trying to use one for any length of time.
