Hypalon and some glue. Any color you want!
Attaching it to the transom? I've seen PVC pipe epoxied into a hole in transom with maybe an inch hanging out; hose clamp your trunk to the pipe (and remember, you used the same size pipe as a template when gluing the hypalon into a tube) .
That's the low tech way... I'm sure that there are more elegant solutions!
