For Sale - Mariner 150 Optimax Long Shaft

I have a 150hp Mariner Optimax with a long shaft up for sale. (Mariner only do these with a long and extra long shaft)

Unfortuantely it has a crack in the block (needs a £400 welding job), new crankshaft (£800) and two new conrods (not sure of the price of these).

The engine is perfect otherwise, leg, cowling, prop, trim motor, starter, ECU, compressor, throttle box. smart craft guages, cables, wiring loom are all fine.

I bought the engine to go on the back of my latest project as a running engine. Little did I know that the vendor clearly knew about these problems and chose to not mention this!

So basically its up for sale for repair or for breaking.

It will go up on Ebay shortly as well but we are looking for offers around about £800. A bargin for somebody who knows his stuff.

Obviously it is sold as seen.

If you any questions about please feel free to drop me a line but don't expect too much in the technical department. I've spent £600 on having the problem diagnosed to date and currently the powerhead is totally removed.

I sent my Happimax for a rebuild to boat and jetski world shortly before they went banKrupt and all I got back was the rewoieked block and some electical bits.

You can have visiting rights to the engine when it's rebuilt
