Free Fuel

Well almost

I picked this metal fuel tank up from Andy B with the engine I brought from him recently. It's of no use to me, but is in useable condition. The bottom is in a very good state with none of the usual rust in the seams. I'd guess it's about 20-25l in capacity and worthless on ebay.

Free to anyone that wants to come and get it from Clanfield.

Oh, and the free fuel, the tank is about 3/4 full of 3yr old fuel that looks like it's already been pre-mixed. I don't want to put it in my RIB and don't own a Petrol car to feed it into gradually, so it's no use to me.

If nobody wants it, can anyone suggest how to dispose of very old pre-mixed fuel without pouring it down the drain?

Pour it gradually into a friends car ? - via the petrol tank I mean - not just torch the car (though give it to Biff & Andy for the xmas meal and they could do that too?)

Still tripping over this in the garage if anyone wants it, otherwise I'll have to go down the dump soon.

Yes - add it to your diesel tank. Safe levels are around 2-3 litres per full tank (80 litres). It will possibly burn a little "cleaner" for the duration. I've done it with my 110 to get her through the emissions test. She failed beforehand and passed with the petrol in.
