Wanted: Gearbox x 2

Morning all
We are looking for:
1 x 3.0L long shaft Optimax gear box for a yr 2000 200hp - just a gear casing will do as ours has bad corrosion, internals are fine.

1 x complete Yamaha four stroke 3 cyl 40hp long shaft gearbox.

I know that Yam & Merc shared a lot of the 40-60hp 4-stroke development, but I don't know whether the lower unit I have from a 1999 50hp Merc 4-stroke will work with your Yam? I suspect not, but may be worth looking into. The unit is immaculate.

Thanks, correct most of the power head parts of the early Merc/Yam were the same later not, unfortunately mid section and gearbox were different.
