Ignition barrel and key for a verado

Ok, so being the clever boy that I am, I ve managed to lose my keys to the boat[emoji37]

Has anyone got an ignition barrel and key that is suitable for a Mercury verado? I m presuming that's smartcraft compatible?

Thanks in advance

Talk to your local dealer. It'll be possible to get a new key.

IME (why do boat keys not float by design?) it may actually be easier/quicker to buy the relevant key online than from the local dealer.

The key number will be on the lock barrel which you would have to remove to replace anyway. If you are in a big rush it is simple to Hotwire!

it is sufficient that you give the Mercury service dealer the number which is on the key ie 321

I’ve edited the actual numbers you quotes as anyone could get the spare key and go start your engine. Boat security is bad enough without advertising the key number!

In the absence of the key, knowing which of the two numbers on the barrel is the key number was the essence of the question!
