I'm after 2 double or 4 single jockey seats, what's about?

I'm coming to the conclusion that it's as well spending the extra bit and buying new.
Not quite as expensive as I thought they would be.

Who would you use? I was under the impression it could cost the price of a 2nd hand rib!

I don't know many independent manufacturers of jockey seats, other than the rib manufacturers themselves. Ribcraft would make I'm sure. Have a cup of sweet tea and seat handy before asking for a quote.
Also Outhill.

There are usually some bases on eBay. Or for 4 you could be worth creating your own mould and casting 4? In the old days people made their own boats in GRP in garages. Not 100% sure why it stopped... A few still building in wood so you'd think there could be a market? So if you build a good enough seat base you'd think that mould would definitely be hire-able? Small enough to ship by courier unlike a boat mould...

There came a time when the cost of the raw material was almost the same as the price of a hull and superstructure from someone like Check Marine or Wilson, so it really wasn't worth the effort. Also about the same time RCD came along and that pushed a lot of the smaller low cost "self completion" manufacturers out of business.

I will probably have 2 of my ribcraft seats for sale soon. Like new condition and have the optional wingback if that is any good.
I don't know what they cost individually so not sure of cost yet, can someone pm me if they know the rrp as they don't list the seats on their site.

I saw the bases but by the time I added upholstery and stainless it wasn't far away from what Humber were wanting all in. It also saves the ball ache of trying to get someone to do the upholstery correctly from scratch, at least this end of the country anyway.
