johnson seahorse coil

have an old johnson seahorse 2hp but the coil is shot its a single cylinder

no got the recoil all working perfect was going to give it a run at the weekend on a local lake but no spark and tbh the coil looks shot,
the outboard hasnt ran in a longtime but ive good faith it will run with a new/seconhand coil

Those coils are like hen's teeth-it's a common problem. I bet it's cracked?

Seamark Nunn sell new ones at a 'decent' price, but it's still going to be nearly what the motor is worth.

Ignition Coils aren't really that expensive, 20€ over here at best.
I'd try and get new ones..

Condensers often were a cause of not giving a spark on both the 2 & 4 hp models .
