For Sale: Johnson VRO 150 hp 2 stroke engine

I have a Johnson VRO 150hp 2 stroke engine for sale on behalf of my friend,

This engine does run and was recently removed from a SACS rib when the engine was replaced on that boat with a brand new 4 stroke.

Unsure how many hours the engine has done but it does run. It is an old engine but surely of use to someone.

I have all the controls and cabling for it

Hi, thanks for your question.

Here is a bit more information about the engine

The engine is an ex MOD engine year 1988. It was shipped to Dubai in 1988 and lay brand new and unused in a crate for 10 years until it was shipped back to the UK and fitted to a private/pleasure SACS rib in 1999. The engine was still new at this time. It about 500 hours (over estimate) on it. The engine runs well but does have a small weep of 2 stroke oil coming from it which may be a gasket. The engine has now been removed from the boat and replaced with a brand new Honda engine hence the sale.

It is in my garage ready to go.

I have attached a picture of the boat with the engine still on. This was taken in October 2012 on the last trip of last season.

Also I see you are from the Western Isles. We have a few trips to the West Coast this year, including this weekend and again 2 weeks later on if you are interested.
