Mariner 5hp 2-stroke - 2003 - £300

This has been sitting in my garage unused for the last year and a bit, so under strict new rules to prevent the accumulation of surplus toys it has to go!

I ran it up today and it started after half a dozen pulls, then restarted on the first pull each time. It pumps water and the kill cord works.

A few superficial defects tend to suggest that it may have had a rather heavy handed owner in a previous life: the end of the turny thing on one of the transom screws is broken, as is the end of the cowl latch. Both still work fine though. The starter is slightly worn and tends to slip if you don't take up the slack on the cord before pulling, otherwise is fine.

It's a nice little motor, with a built in fuel tank plus a connector for an external tank (not included), which would go very nicely with a small SIB.

£300, collection from Brighton
