Mercury 50hp 4-stroke parts
I've got a few bits & bobs from a 1999 Merc 50 4-stroke longshaft, which are getting in the way. I believe these will also fit the 40hp Merc 4-stroke from the same era.
1. Complete lower unit in immaculate condition. £250
2. Top cowl - been painted, scruffy, but not damaged. Needs flatting off & re-painting. £20
3. Lower cowlings - as top cowl, need flatting off & re-painting, but no apparent damage. £20/pr
4. Mid section. £10
5. Saddle, c/w power tilt unit. Complete and in good order. £200
All prices plus carriage, at cost.
Pics on request.

I will have the mid section and the saddle bracket assuming the rubber mounts are good.

How much do you think delivery on the top cowl would be?

Around a tenner, I should think, Tim, maybe a bit less.

Davie,
Can you clarify that you want the mid section and the saddle, c/w PTT?
They've been separated, so I need to check the mounts are ok. Will get back to you on this.

Pics for Davie
Davie,
Here's the 3 bits you need: Transom saddle c/w PT unit & lower mounts, mid section & lower tray c/w top mounts.
I've tried to photograph the bits as best I can. If you need more detail, please let me know.

I need the swivel tube with the power trim unit also the two top rubber mounts that are fitted with the 4 bolts. Hope this makes sense.

Yes, that makes perfect sense - basically 2 of the 3 bits in the photo:
1. The saddle with PT & lower mounts
2. The tray under the powerhead which has the 2 x top mounts fitted (or just the 2 x top mounts, if I take them off the tray).
You don't need the mid-section (trunk)?
The top mounts look relatively new, so I can have a go at unbolting them from the tray, not that the rest of the tray's of any use (or value) to me!
Give me a call tomorrow, if you like - you should have my number from the text I sent you last night.

My boat, on the trailler, went backwards over a small cliff and landed on the motor. I need a new lower unit. My motor is a Mercury 50 hp twostroke 1999 mod. I thinnk the lower unit is the same as the fourstroke ? Do you have an idea?

The housing appears to be the same but the driveshaft may be different.
What's the serial number of your motor?
