I recently bought some LED nav lights from towingandtrailers.co.uk which are made by autolamps. It's the same make I have on my boat trailer and am really pleased with them so far.

Where you are a short drive and Davie Anderson in Tayport or Sea & Shore over the river might have some in stock?
And for a slightly longer trip - Port Edgar marina chandlers......

Would support what 9D said as I always believe in supporting your local guys and both of them are good as I have used them for years.

I just bought a set of LED nav lights for my SIB from Amazon. Best deal around bar none. Far better than I could find on Ebay even. My light pole was "used' as someone had opened the package, but the connectors didn't have a scratch on them. Got it super cheap!

I fitted Osculati navigation lights. They're not LED, but they're fantastic quality in 316 stainless steel. And because they're Italian, they look good too!
Classic 12 navigation lights made of mirror-polished AISI 316 stainless steel
+1 for Ewen at Sea and Shore and Davie at Tayport.

Yes I agree, and they would also get stuff in for me if they don't have it, we are lucky having such good chandlers on our door step, however I was looking for something a bit cheaper, second hand etc

For my rib I am looking at the amount of time that the lights would be needed as it is used 99% of the time in daylight.
On the premise that they would be used at night only in case of emergency I am looking at getting some battery operated ones which I can include with the "safety gear", which will also save retiring the rib.
So far they all look horrific and crude, with the exception of over priced ones, or "bike light" derivatives.
Just a thought but depends on the rib usage.

I thought about the battery powered ones myself as I have only been out a couple of times at twilight rushing back to the dock. Then I remembered battery powered means batteries and the chances of the batteries being at full charge is not very good. Best bet for "me" was to use plug in lights with a wind up cord. So that is what I made. I will plug them in if I ever need them, and don't have to worry about testing them the rest of the time. No dead batteries at the wrong time, and less long term cost. Plus C-cell batteries likely to leak acid destroying the "flashlight" nav light.

I went for a set on amazon, chrome LED ones. Only green and red so I'll look out for an all rounder. Lights were only £18 but postage from never never land was £16. Still a cheap set of LEDs for £35
