Hiya, has this unit been fitted (and coded) to a previous boat? If it has, are you able to re-code it yourself, or is it one of those that has to be sent back to the manufacturer? Thanks.

Hi, I don't believe it's been coded, I bought it for a boat I was going to renovate, but work and family commitments made it unfeasible so selling the bits I bought to stick in it.

If it's been coded it's simple to change it and can be done yourself. An Internet search will reveal how but it includes the model number!

Yeah, I Googled that and it is easy to do the re-code.

Unfortunately, having checked with Raymarine, my A68 is NMEA2000 only. Unless you fork out for a Seatalk connector unit with NMEA0183 adapter built in, you're tied to NMEA2000 VHF radios if you want to connect the two.

Otherwise I'd have made a cheeky little offer!
