I've got a Mercury 15hp 2 stroke. 1998 I think from memory. Long shaft. Gears on throttle, I don't know a great deal more about it as it came with a Rib I had in. Was kept as back-up motor. Looks clean enough.

Any idea on model no. Peter? I need to go and check out weight..... It would be an aux for the Pac....previously there was a Tohatsu 15hp 2stroke (pretty light).....

It's not going to be as light as the Tohatsu I'd guess 36 kgs. The short shaft weighs 34 kgs. it will say on it but it's in the yard.

I've also a 2006 Tohatsu 9.8 2 stroke (25 kgs black model can be uprated to 15hp) but that's short shaft

How easy is it to upgrade a 9.8 Tohatsu to 15? I didn't think it could be done as the 9.8 was at the top of that engine range.
