Old Quicksilver outboard fuel tank

Hello, I have just acquired a Quicksilver 25l fuel tank (in decent condition) which has an old style bayonet fitting. Unfortunately my engine and fuel hose have Yamaha fittings and so I thought I could rig a conversion - short hose with Quicksilver male bayonet on one end male Yamaha fitting on the other end - seems that I might be cheaper just buying a new tank!
Does anyone have an old male Quicksilver bayonet fitting for sale (with or without hose)? Or, would anyone require the tank?
Thanks if you have any other sensible suggestions

Hi Hogmanay,

Strangely enough - I was planning the same thing in reverse - I have a new Yamaha tank that I thought was the same fitting as my old quicksilver until the pipe popped off in the sound of Mull !!!

PM me and maybe we can do a swap ?

Hi Telecast
I reckon you’ve probably got the newer Quicksilver connection, it’s almost identical to the Yamaha one, but has (I think) a longer bayonet fitting, so doesn’t ‘click’ into place properly!
I might have a spare Yamaha female hose end if that helps?

Here’s 2 images of my connection on the Quicksilver tank. Let me know either way and thanks for getting in touch.
Cheers

LOL, ghosts in the system! Hi Neil, yes, the part I’m looking for is the black one on the left I think (I’ve not seen one up close).
