We are changing to a new 4 stroke Mercury 150 on the Ocean and have for sale our Optimax outboards (not run as a pair).
The first is a 2008 with what must be getting on for 2000 hours. Mercury casing XL shaft. Running when removed and on a crate now. Fancied the compressor was getting a little noises, and have included in the sale a new in box compressor) think these are / were around £800.... You'd have to check actual price.
It's had new alternator, gearbox and starter as well as various sensors in our ownership... Dates unknown, but in last 3 to 4 years.
No controls or loom or prop, just engine. Couple of cosmetic marks as you'd expect with use, but presentable.
The second is circa 2010 /2011 Mariner hood. Bare engine as above (no prop, loom etc).
This was an ex independent lifeboat unit with circa 350 hours use. Few cosmetic marks as you'd expect with hours, very presentable / well maintained as you'd expect (by Barrus). This unit experienced an intermittent fault of overevving when returning to Neutral prior to Christmas. Returned to Barrus and run in tank with no issues, but we have decided to change to new unit. No faults recorded and none shown on diagnostic. Running when removed.
There is no warranty given or implied with the units, sold as seen and both to be sold together to clear (space in our shed!)

There are also a pair of heads from a 150 bought on ebay / seller on here (they were cheap and I bought on that basis alone)....
Also have some new in box control cables somewhere if I can find them (too short for us, will throw them in if I can find them!)
