Parts Wanted

Does anyone on here work for a yamaha dealership, I am looking for a UK contact for parts. I usually buy direct from the US as I can order online, but the postage is the cost of additional parts. Without naming anyone, it annoys me when I call, willing to part with money and I pass over the engine details and you've guessed it, no call back. So the US gets the pennies instead.

I am after a 55hp Yamaha Thermostat just now. Will need other parts as the need arises.

Future spends will include Yamaha 50d powerhead gasket set and a few bits and pieces, maybe a propeller.

Is there anybody out there??

eBay is not bad, but it's not good for everything I might need.

I buy all my Suzuki parts from the US.

They always arrive on my doorstep before local dealers can get them delivered to their shop for me to collect.

Plus they are always cheaper than buying in the UK even after you add the carriage and tax(if you get caught).

Nasher.

I was hoping someone knew of a way I can order online in the uk similar to the way you can on the US sites.

The ordering on those sites is the easy part and that's what I'm after. To buy in the UK, I would have to go on to the USA sites to get the part numbers, write them down, email a couple of dealers for prices (May be more expensive as they would them have to order them for me) and that would cost more. Then they have to email me back with the prices which takes time away from what they are doing and one won't get the business and will be competing with USA prices.

So two things - individual orders like the thermostat, solved by one PM or Davie at Clyde outboards, it wouldn't be worth ordering one item from the US and paying the postage.

Online parts and self order service in the UK. The search continues. We really fall down on this type of service over here.
