Needed to fit to a rib that will be used by Sea Cadets, must have a prop guard to comply with RN rules.

Bit of a long shot, but you could try contacting Keith or Ken at the RN sailing center at Whale island. They are replacing their fleet of safety boats at the moment, all of which were fitted with 60hp engines, all with prop gaurds. They may well have a spare lying around.

Prop Guard

Know a California based Company who manufactures prop guards for 05 to 300 HP engines. You need the Blue 13" Prop Guard that fits normal 40 to 65 Hp engines.

Although have not tried the prop guards there are some technical comments regarding that you should change you actual propeller pitch because there is a slight speed loss, consult it with the manufacturer, just in case so to be aware. 13" has a suggested retail price of about $178 dollars, they are looking for dealers for this product.

If this item cannot be found in England

You can contact: infopropguardmarine.com and have the item flown by air.

Regards
Luis

RN Sailing Centre don't have any suitable prop guards .

Still looking for one for the Yamaha 60f engine - 14" prop so the one mentioned by Luis won't fit and the largest size is a 16" guard so would really be too big.

So anyone else with an idea please!

Not sure. Was up there yesterday and there's about 6 pallets each with 3 60-Mariners on. If only they didn't have armed guards on the gate! I'll let you know when the new ones turn up.
