This was bought in for a project that has been scrubbed. It has the dual inlet ports (I believe makes it more responsive at slow speeds?) It has been totally stripped , sandblasted , etch primed and 2 packed. It has been rebuilt with 39/34 gearing and has a spare pair of 34/39 gears. It has had all new bearings and seals, new import shaft and all new bushes. It has some new Anodes (on the control rods) all the other anodes are as new. It comes with the Castoldi Bucket and throttle lever assembly and a 3rd lever and cable that controls the gearbox. It has bronze balanced rudders (removed to prevent damage whilst handling)) and has its tray that goes underneath.
It has not been run since it was rebuilt and was previously used on a freshwater lake in Ireland, so there was very little corrosion.
I have a stack of receipts from Lancing Marine for all the new parts.
It also comes with the remains of another 238 for spares, that includes a pair of modified rudders, Bucket and arms, Stainless steel impeller and bronze impeller housing, Gaskets and bushes and other odds and sods.
To fit into a bare boat, it will require 3 jet control cables (steering, bucket and gearbox) and a mounting at the jet end to locate the cables in the right place. The Castoldi also has a sort of griddle system on the intake that has fingers that can moveto dislodge seaweed etc. This has a sort of hand pull sytem that looks similar to an engine pull starting cable. You will need that also, if you want it functioning.
