SAFETY / RESCUE flag

I regularly do safety cover at various events, the larger provide identification flags, but the smaller don't have anything available - so I want a safety flag to fly so people can see I am involved in the event.

Anyone got anything going?

Difficult to know which flag you mean.

A number of events use the Alpha flag (blue and white) when they have swimmers in the water, not quite correct but it seems to be normal. Others will use a plain blue flag to signify safety fleet.

Last summer we were using red at one event and orange at another. The event safety usually dictates what they want.

If you're after an Alpha flag Bowstone make large ones - Flags

Just a flag that says rescue or safety as that's simple.

Don't want the A flag, as it relies on people knowing what it's for, and as we don't plan on having people in the water not really correct.

We used Zepher Flags for all the safety boats at the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant and I know the RYA use them as well.

They were pretty cost effective but we were ordering 60 of em!

If you ring them up and explain what you want they will be able sort you.

I forgot to add the web link - Flag Maker, Manufacturer, Pole, Supplier, Large, Site Flag - Zephyr Flags

Also if you want one to last forever and don't mind paying try Magellan Flags - I've got one from Nelson's Memorial Flotilla and it's a cut above the rest but it looks expensive (I didn't pay for that one!) Magellan Flags and Textiles - Quality flags at affordable prices.
