Well I didn't think I'd get so much interest in this so rather than reply to everyone individually I'll give the history here and take/post pics tomorrow.
I bought the boat second hand approx 9 years ago. It has a Suzuki DT75 engine and a snipe unbraked trailer. I used it for 4 years but then the engine became a pain to start. I purchased a 4 stroke Honda 70hp and fitted that and that was a pain to start as well. Further investigation revealed that the neutral battery cable was goosed. This was fixed and the Honda engine started everytime, however it was too heavy for this boat. I sold the Honda for £200 more than I paid for it
with the intention of refitting the Suzuki but...... A tornado 5.8M with 150hp optimax came up for sale on here and I bought that (my current rib).
My intention was to get the 4.7 going again but when you have a rib that works it sort of gets forgotten about. I did refit the Suzuki around a year ago and it fired up and ran but the cables were not set right and it just revved right up but it did start and run.
I have done nothing to it since then apart from steal the dry box holders off the A frame and instruments off the console.
So it has basically sat around in the sun/rain/snow/frost/wind for a very long time only being moved to cut the grass now and again.
I have no idea how old it, or the engine is. The tubes are very faded and there is a small rotten patch on the deck.It has an A frame and a flooding hull however I blocked the front holes up with corks to prevent this happening. It has the screw in blank at the back.
As I said I will post pics tomorrow but if anyone has any other questions then please ask and I'll try and answer them.
