Small shortshaft outboard 2.5/5 hp

Lookin for a small outboard to stick on a sib for kids, anything considered.

If it's for the kids, one with a F/R/Neutral gear selection might be best. I have a mate who was in your shoes and he regrets the 2.5hp merc. They have to kill it every time they want to stop the SIB...

Agree with willk about forward and reverse.

Few companies here that have short-shaft outboards for sale.

I have a 2hp Yamaha for sale (n ireland £195 if keen) but as stated gears would be a good idea mine runs all the time and its not ideal for the kids.

Well when i say kids i mean 18yo an 8yo so they shud b able to manage any type of small outboard but i will defo keep it in mind.
