sonim xp3 quest pro

ip 67 rated bullet proof,waterproof, and idiot proof, see u tube for demos.
anybody got one, need a new phone again, dropped the last one into splashwell of rib,
in died 12hrs later, dear kit but looks ok, some feedback please ribsters....

Had 3, bought the first one, the other two were warranty replacements. All three were crap...poor bluetooth, button failures, crashes and freezes, slow witted software. I'm sure they're robust and waterproof but they also needs to provide basic phone functionality and, in that, they fail After-sales support was abysmal: rude and technically neanderthal.

i had a samsung b2100 and really rate it. hard as nails and waterproof. used to take it out dinghy sailing as a fail safe still works just a bit battered now and i got an upgrade to a motorola defy.

Onto my fourth Sonim handset, they quote a 3 year gurantee and by jingo they need it, will not be buying another ever again. As said basic phone function is utter pants, it takes reasonable photos but does not do media messaging. I think there was what looked like a better version possibly not Sonim on test with Boogib he's been quiet on it so dont know.

sonim

I heard the same stories about the sonim so i bought the Samsung with alu housing and its great.
had it in to 1.8m of water accidently and picked it up and no probs furthermore its fallen several times (when i go diving its mostly on my clothes and by taking my shirt it falls hmmmm but no problemo after two years of use still super.

make a wise choice
