Spare wheel mounted Bike carrier.
Having swapped the Shogun in for a Disco3 earlier in the year this bike carrier has been sitting in the garage unused as the Disco has the spare wheel slung underneath.
I’ve used it to carry two adult bikes around on quite long journeys, and have always been happy with how secure they felt.
Obviously the spare wheel bracket on the back of the car needs to be strong enough to take the weight.
It should fit on most wheels, but as an example it fitted well on the 265/70/R16 fitted to the Shogun.
The two sets of frame clamps do slide in and out on the bars, they are just pushed back quite far in the photos.
First person to offer me £30, and be able to collect it, has got themselves a bargain.
