Stainless Transom Wheels (unused)

Stainless transom wheels new/unused.

The same ones as these at £129...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154390738...wAAOSwSFJgXh7R

My favoured transom wheel type (think they are Trem or Osculati) bough new a couple of months ago before my SIB arrived but I found they don't fit due to it's shallow transom on the semi-cat style hull.

The important dimension is their upper and lower fixings are 26cm apart so you need a transom that will comfortably allow that. Otherwise they are very easy to fit needing just two holes per leg. The lower bracket on the leg hooks under the button you fit to the transom and then the top of the leg is tightened by the knurled knob with thread. This means when you take them off to pack the boat there is just the small rounded button but otherwise nothing to snag the tubes.

If you want to take the wheels on a trip (similar to the Zodiac system) you put them upside down on the transom with the knurled bolt through the alternative thread.

30mm dia tube. 36cm overall dia tyres. Overall length approx 78cm from top of leg to bottom of tyre.

Price £65 inc tracked parcel postage costs with Parcelforce 48 (please double check this cost if Highlands/Islands)

Payment by Paypal.

Hi Fenlander

I'm still after some launching wheels and sm very interested !

I have a Yamaha 3.1m STI.. I'm aware of your large knowledge of such things. Any idea if these mounting will be okay on the Yam's transom? If not, please bear with me so I can dig it out and measure!!

You will have to measure the transom but usually any short shaft transom will take these... but check first.

Okay.. I've measured and yes they would fit, except that I already have some towing eye holes on there. Utilising one of these would put the lower hole where the bracket for the floor is. The only option would be to mount them closer to the outboard. I fear they would then foul the outboard...

I'll do some more measuring tomorrow and see if I can come up with a solution.

Hi David, if they are still available I will buy them please. My C Tugs have just snapped off on the slip at Dornie.
If they are can I sort it with you later.
Thanks, Steve

That's a bumpy slip at Dornie Steve! Do you mean you wanted them sent to you at your holiday location to fit up there?

I'm just waiting on Flamair to see if they can be fitted around his existing transom holes and if he can't take them they're yours.

Any news Flamair?

Very bumpy, snapped the plastic yoke in two! I'm hopeful that I will be able to solvent weld it back at the caravan. Fortunately I've brought the OB trolley so providing we stay on reasonably smooth slips and a couple of hours each side of high tide we should be able to man handle Redneck down to the water and then fit the OB.
If Flamair dosn't want them, I shall fit them when I'm back home.

Chaps.. Sorry about the delay - having a bit of a crazy day.

Yes, I believe I can make these fit my 310STI

Fenlander - if you're still okay with me having them, please message me or post on here so i can arrange payment for them.

Many thanks.

Ian

There is a Gael force marine in Inverness if you were really stuck that do have stock of a few different types, but that would be a 4 hr round trip stuck in a car, while you should be enjoying the boating in this good weather

Thanks for the suggestion. We can still use the SD360 from a lot of slips I just have to plan well and change where I had planned to go. It just means we will have to come here again.

Should have bought those beach rollers David, they would have come into there own on this holiday.
