For Sale: Suzuki 140hp 2004 4 stroke

Considering selling my trusty Suzuki 140hp engine, built 2004 to potentially upgrade to a higher hp engine. It has never let me down, extremely reliable engine, efficient and light weight. Used on 6.3m ocean pro.

Would there be any interest on here? It’s based near Egham, Surrey.

Details:

- probably in region of 250-300 hours
- last full service in June 2018
- has skeg damage which can either be repaired but I quite liked the marine grade stainless skeg guard which has been fitted
- good used condition

Sale would include all controls, steering (mechanical), and gauges.

Will take a video of it running this weekend. More photos on request.

I'm refurbing a Humber Destroyer 5.8 and I bought it with a nearly new Yam 80hp which isn't going to set the world alight.


I did a Northcraft 5.8 a couple of years ago and put a DF140 on the back, I loved it and would be keen to have another.

The 140 would be great on a Destroyer 5.8! I haven’t seen a similar aged comparable for sale, people seem to hold onto them. Send me a PM with an offer to consider, I have a rough idea of value but main aim is to facilitate funds to move to a bigger engine.

- 280-350 hours (low annual use of circa 20-25 hours)
- flushed after every use, kept out of water on trailer
