Transom Support Bars

Hi i am looking for the Stainless bars that go from the transom to the floor on a 4m avon searider. i have searched the internet and i can not find themm anywhere. does anyone know where i can get them from.

They should be available from an Avon dealer, although it would probably be cheaper for you to get some made by a local fabricator, using 1" OD stainless tube and 2-3mm thickness flat bar. Have you got the originals to use as a pattern?

yeah i have the original ones to use as a plan, i got a quote for some new ones and it was £60 each which i thought was a bit steep. i will see how much it will be to make new ones. cheers

Tel 01756 792335. I was quoted something like £48 each. Taking the Pi$$ I thought. But I managed to get one from a guy on here (many thanks Dan) Your best bet is to get someone to make a pair for you.

The afore mentioned dan

Take the opportunity to consider an A-frame.
That is what i done, and for circa 300, I got a single 2" frame with platform on the top, and incorporated two legs as transom supports.
Hate to say it, but looks way more professional and about as over engineered as one can make things.
The stainless is a nice touch :-) and get dome cap bolts for it, really sets it off.
